Our blue tortillas are created using the same ancient tortilla-making method (nixtamalization) we use to make our award-winning white corn tortillas, with some blue corn added. Blue corn varieties are widely renowned as being healthier & more nutritious, typically having less carbohydrates & more protein than other corn.
By adding blue corn to our masa (corn dough), we’re able to bake a tortilla that is slightly sweeter & nuttier, adding a depth of flavour that elevates a variety of dishes. They create a delicious corn aroma when heated & provide malleability that is ideal for almost any tortilla creation.
